Personalisation is not a threat to healthcare services and the principles of the NHS. Personalisation is the means by which an industrial model of healthcare delivery can begin to shift to something more personal, effective and efficient.
This report describes how personalisation, first developed in adult social care, needs to be adapted to fit the different context of healthcare services. It goes on to outline the very many significant benefits and efficiencies it could - if implemented well - produce. It is argued that the current efficiency targets within the NHS could be met if personalisation was fully embraced.
