Samanta Šamrejienė has researched how health professionals in Lithuania are trying to improve the personalisation of their support to cancer patients. She describes the importance of not just focusing on the medical condition but also attending to people’s emotional and life situation (the psychosocial dimension of care).

This research uncovers the factors and processes at organizational level that promotes and limits the integration of psychosocial support in routine cancer care. By implementing a longitudinal study, Samanta in the research shows the dynamics in the tertiary level organization that helps understand what helps to develop personalisation in health care.
