The Journey to Inclusive Schooling

This new guide shares eight case studies from schools already well-advanced in the journey to inclusivity now focusing on changing themselves from within.

Authors: Gordon L Porter and David Towell

In 2017, David Towell and his Canadian colleague, Gordon Porter, produced Advancing Inclusive Education, a detailed analysis of what is involved in transforming public education systems so as to provide inclusive education for all - drawing particularly on the long experience of the Canadian Province of New Brunswick.

Now the authors have returned to this theme with a particular focus on how schools are changing themselves from within. This new guide shares eight case studies from schools which are already well-advanced in this journey, three again from New Brunswick, three from countries in Latin America (where David has been a regular contributor) and two from London, using this experience to offer a framework for school transformation.
