William: It's My Life

iDirect support William to live his own life in his community.

My name is William. I am a 26-year-old living with a diagnosis of Autism, Learning Disabilities, and PTSD, which affect my day-to-day life in many different ways. iDirect has supported me over the past five years.

People who know me well know how much my life has improved. Previously, I lived at home with my family. Since being with iDirect, I have gained many life skills with the support from my team.

I engage with my community regularly and attend workshops to gain more knowledge and skills. Soon, I will be attending a seminar on pathways to employment, which I am looking forward to. I have a great relationship with my family now and love to meet them for swimming once a week.

I hope sharing a small part of my life story with the world may inspire others to realise that no matter what their diagnosis is they can accomplish a lot in their lives.
