After gaining a degree in psychology and social anthropology much of my early adult life was spent as a mother looking after 4 children, made more demanding when we were left to survive on benefits.
Later I worked as a Special Needs teacher for several years and resumed my life long interest in campaigning, first on nuclear issues, then on roads which led to an MPhil at UEA about (the lack of) local government consultation.
In retirement I have self published two books, a political fable, ‘The Roar of the Wind through the Trees’ on Kindle. And an analysis of the effect of Monetarist policies ‘It’s All Up To Us Now’,(ISBN 978-1-9196037-0-4), a paperback. This has led to working with Citizen Network on grass roots policies for Sustainability.
