Shaping Sheffield City Goals

Citizen Network Research is working with Opus Independents, Arup and Dark Matter Labs to support the Sheffield City Partnership to define Sheffield's City Goals. The City Goals provide a way of imagining a better future for Sheffield and helping all the people of Sheffield to come together to make that future real. 

The idea is to produce the Sheffield City Goals by the middle of 2023 by working as closely as possible with Sheffield citizens - sharing ideas, meeting and discussing the best way forward. These are just some of the things currently planned:

1. An online digital survey - open until the end of April 2023 - open the survey here

2. Workshops and meetings - including these 3 events from the Festival Debate:

• 15 April: Help Shape Sheffield's City Goals - Heeley and Gleedless
• 18 May: It's Our Community - join the Neighbourhood Democracy Movement and Citizen Network in Sheffield
• 22 May: Help Shape Sheffield's City Goal- Sharrow

3. The use of the Polis - a tool to let everyone comment on and improve the goals

Our invitation to get involved:

Sheffield is a resilient and determined city. A great city.

Our city can be a place where everyone lives well and takes care of each other. But it takes each and every one of us to make that happen.

In coming together as friends, neighbours, strangers and communities, we can step up to the challenges ahead. To fulfil that promise, we need to be acting together and driving change towards the same goals. Our City Goals.

This is an invitation for you to help set Our City Goals by shaping what our city stands for, what we want our city to be now and in the future and what we want to do together to build our legacy.

These goals will drive our response to the changing and challenging world we live in. They will guide us all to dream big and to build a Sheffield in shape for current and future generations.
