What Went Wrong with the Welfare State?

In this presentation Simon Duffy sets out why the welfare state is essential to justice, but explores some of the flaws within its current design. In particular he outlines how the welfare state in the UK is failing to address the issue equality and poverty and is leading to the scapegoating of disadvantaged groups.
