The project to develop a new vision for Yorkshire began at the 2022 Festival of Debate.
The way Britain is currently governed fails to serve the best interests of Yorkshire but there is an alternative approach to governing our county.
A new Democratic Yorkshire will unite the county, provide a just and fair society, enable our citizens to fully participate in decision-making and provide hope for a better future for our children.
Democratic Yorkshire is a voluntary alliance consisting of a group of organisations and individuals interested in planning a better future for our County through modern democratic means secured in a written constitution.
