The current welfare system wastes resources by reducing the ability of the citizen to put them to good use.

The current welfare system wastes resources by reducing the ability of the citizen to put them to good use: To reach the person taxed income goes on a wasteful journey: (a) split up into many different departments by central government (b) transferred to local agencies controlled or influenced by central government (c) spent on services that government things we need and (d) delivered as best suits services themselves.
