Proclaiming loudly what is happening to our communities!
We are excited to have you as a reader and hope you enjoy the articles. Each edition of Citizen Network News will delve deep into a common theme that is often overlooked by the mainstream press that is crucial for community building around the world.
The first edition’s theme is “public spaces.” Public spaces we have found are the cornerstone for citizens to gather, build collective projects and form community relationships. Public spaces are also under threats worldwide due to privatization and the fracturing of communities due to a myriad of issues.
All of these articles are written by citizen reporters from around the world who share their experiences, expertise and passion surrounding this topic.
We hope these articles serve as a small glimpse into public spaces that serve communities like yours around the world. We also hope you will join us and spread this newspaper to your friends, families and colleagues so we can continue to build awareness and education around this important topic.
In addition, if you would like to contribute an article for future editions or provide any feedback, we would love to hear from you.
Thank you for reading and taking action with us.
