In partnership with ENABLE Scotland, In Control Scotland and many other friends, Citizen Network is pleased to present its first Festival of Citizenship - We Are One - in Glasgow on 9th and 10th August this year.
A celebration of inclusive citizenship, We Are One will take its thematic structure from the 7 Keys to Citizenship: Love, Life, Home, Freedom, Help, Purpose and Money - the basic things we all need to play our full part within society.

Friday 9th August:
The Festival will kick-off in the evening with a Stay Up Late event taking place in the Student Union of the University of Strathclyde, the main Festival venue. This party atmosphere will provide an effective curtain-raiser for the Festival, and we hope as many people as possible will make it along on the night. Find out more and let us know you'll be joining us via Facebook.
Saturday 10th August:
There will be a full programme of events from morning until early evening. The Strathclyde Student Union will again provide the main venue, but several additional venues will be in use throughout the day between here and the river Clyde, taking in the area known as the Merchant City.
The programme will contain a varied mixture of music, dance, drama, poetry, debate, discussion, and the testing out of new ideas. There will be food and drink and an inclusive invitation to all who are interested in celebrating equality amid diversity. Register your intention to attend Saturday's events on Eventbrite.
While those attending will, if they wish, be able to donate towards the cost of the event there will be no obligation to do so. And, while some of the venues we use may require an entrance fee, there will be no entry charge for the Festival itself.
