Since 2010 the UK Government has announced a series of severe cuts to benefits and to local government and social care.
Since 2010 the UK Government has announced a series of severe cuts to benefits (including disability benefits) and to local government and social care (which provides support for disabled people). The overall impact of these cuts is to place the burden of austerity on to people in poverty, disabled people and particularly people with the most severe disabilities (who require social care).
