I have directed managed and planned over 100 natural resources and social justice projects over a 40-year period

44 years’ relevant experience in biodiversity and climate sector, within government, research institutions or international development organisations I have undertaken over 150 major assignments internationally funded programmes in over sixty-three countries in NIS, Europe, ENPI, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Familiar with DFID, EC, UN, Irish Aid, GEF, World Bank, NORAD, Finnish Aid, ADB, GIZ, KfW and AfDB I also lead the programme evaluation component of the 2011 external review of IUCN

Global thought leader and educator on monitoring, evaluation and learning. Former practice leader and professor (Natural Resources Institute). Senior evaluation specialist sixty-two missions with 46 as team leader. In depth experience of M+E and MIS, and innovative approaches to evaluation such as Appreciative Inquiry. Training experience in evaluation techniques (all EU delegation in Asia trained in EC ROM approaches). Also conducted workshops in Brussels where the results of the Asia ROM synthesis (entire Asia portfolio) were presented.
