I am a student and I have written an essay advocating for a Universal Basic Income funded by socialising economic rents. The essay considers the ever increasing levels of naturally and socially created value which are being siphoned away privately by very few people. I argue for this to be changed, with all citizens being entitled to some share of the value that no sole individual can claim credit for producing.
Outside of school I am an active member of my local community and have served as a youth councillor in Epping Forest. In my spare time I enjoy sports including running, hockey, football and padel.
