I design accessible information to promote equality, community and self-advocacy. Most of my work is created for people with learning disabilities, but it is also welcomed and used by a much broader audience. I can convert any document into a large-print, illustrated, minimalist, easy to read design. I also provide training to individuals and organisations.
I have 25 years of experience in the charity, academic, health and social care sectors. Roles have included Support Worker, Project Manager and Development Manager.
Current projects include Easy Read design work for Hampton Court Palace, The Welsh Parliament, plus a range of care providers and local authorities. I am a member of the EQUALD research team at Sheffield University - we are researching Individual Service Funds as a route to self-directed support. I worked with Simon Duffy, Wendy Perez and Ester Ortega as editor of "Everyday Citizenship", and recently attended the Global Airea Conference in Spain, alongside many Citizen Network organisers and members.
