Manavodaya has successfully developed and established a humanitarian approach to sustainable change based on the principle of Self-Help that is now widely practised in India.
Our process is focused on moving from Human Awakening (Manavodaya in Sanskrit) to Community Awakening (Kutumbodaya in Sanskrit) through methods of conscious living. It finds resonance with the statements of thought leaders of various civilisations across time. It also finds acceptance by social work professionals, students and citizens of different countries attending residential retreats at Manavodaya.
We want to: share our own learning and learn from others. We are talking about a different kind of change,; we are working with inner development and outer change as well through people’s perception, participation and priorities.
We offer short and long term processes, guidance and mentoring. We encourage people to meet and share learning, knowledge and skills, building a collective awareness that reaches both the poor and the rich, and creates lasting connection.
We are looking towards increased participation and support to raise awareness and create further action with these methods by coop members everywhere.
