I have an extensive background in teaching and in facilitating strengths-based, person-centered planning processes and practices.
I believe in the ideals of citizenship that recognize the rights and responsibilities for all people to have access to equitable opportunity; to reach for her or his highest purpose in life and; to make positive and productive use of these gifts through beneficial contribution to society.
With over 35 years’ experience in the field of disability services, I have served in both direct practice and managerial capacities with a laser focus on fostering community-based, inclusive employment, education and other valued community membership roles with and on behalf of people who are marginalized because of disability/difference.
My work is known internationally, most especially for developing the landmark Citizen-Centered Leadership (CCLD) online community of practice designed to support learners in a theory-to-practice approach to building a world where everyone matters and everyone belongs.
