Avivo is a community organisation that supports people with a disability, people who experience mental ill health, and people who are aged to live life in their own homes in community. Our vision is everyone living as active citizens in community – where everyone matters and everyone’s contribution is valued.
We have over 100 community teams working in local neighbourhoods providing support. We are committed to creating an organisation where everyone can contribute as active citizens.
Our achievements:
- We have over 100 community teams, supporting 3,500 people to live their lives in their own communities.
- We support people who represent the diversity of our communities including people who require light touch assistance to people who have intensive support needs.
- We are focused on citizenship for colleagues as a foundation of the organisation and we actively supporting everyones self direction.
- We work to design supports in partnership with people and families that make sense leading to innovations such as shared management and shared lives.
- We take our responsibility as citizens seriously and lead and contribute to developing the sector and communities.
Our strategic goals for the next 3 years include:
- Enhance customers' experience and outcomes through the individualised design, trusted relationships and person centred support.
- Build empowered amazing teams and networks that are valuable to people and communities.
- Create alliances and partnerships with others to develop a society where people and communities thrive.
- Develop Avivo's sustainability in order to have a greater social impact.
- Enhance our culture to support personal and collective responsibility.
