Women Centred Working is an initiative to encourage the design and delivery of better services for women facing multiple disadvantages.
This initiative has grown out of decades of experience supporting women in the most difficult situations to make positive changes to their lives. Powerful evidence from projects at WomenCentre Calderdale and Kirklees and other women’s centres around the UK has shown that what we have come to call ‘women centred working’ can get to the root causes of complex problems.
Women Centred Working has been set up to share good practice, change thinking and promote effective, women centred approaches nationally. The initiative, headed up by Clare Jones CBE, is funded by Lankelly Chase Foundation as part of its mission to transform the quality of life of people who face multiple disadvantage.
