NAO benefit sanctions study call for evidence by Autumn 2016.
Action | 19.07.16
The National Audit Office (NAO) is undertaking a study to examine whether the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is achieving value for money from its administration of benefit sanctions.
This includes how benefit sanctions fit with the intended aims and outcomes of the DWP’s wider working age employment policy, whether sanctions are being implemented in line with policy and whether use of sanctions is leading to the intended outcomes for claimants.
This is a good opportunity to share evidence of the harm caused by benefit sanctions. Individuals and organisations who are witnessing the poverty and distress caused by Government policy are encouraged to share their experiences.
The deadline for evidence is Autumn 2016.
