Project SEARCH Europe conference - 24 June

Project SEARCH is an exciting initiative that began at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 1996, which aims to bring significant numbers of people with a learning disability and autism into competitive employment. It is a partnership bringing together relevant organisations to work together effectively, between a host business, education and adult supported employment providers.

The goal is to provide on-site internship experiences, acquire necessary skills for young adults with learning disabilities leading to competitive employment which to date has been very impressive.

You are invited to join Project SEARCH Scotland to celebrate all that has been achieved in Europe to date including the average job outcome of 60% per programme.

Contributors will discuss the potential of Project SEARCH to make a real difference to the lives of young people with a learning disability and autism and the strategies required to support growth.

There will be a pre-conference dinner and overview on Tuesday 24th June and an all day conference on Wednesday 25th June offering delegates the opportunity to find out about this exciting model and how we can reach for the ultimate goal: employment for all Project SEARCH graduates.
