Welcome to the October edition of Neighbourhood Democracy News.

If you'd like to subscribe to receive this regular newsletter by email please sign up here.

This is just a short update to invite you to #DoWith Neighbourhoods tomorrow, Thursday 16th October, from 1pm to 2:30pm. You can sign up here. We'll be talking about the Government's 'Pride In Place' investment and building a community of people seeking real change in practice. From doing to, to doing with, and done by, neighbourhoods.

If you can, please do join us with your viewpoint and experience.

Weaving communities

One of the things we have been talking about in organising #DoWith Neighbourhoods is building community. The idea of community weaving can be a powerful one, alongside giving a practical prompt for what we need to do to build a group that can act together. As the authors state: "May it provide a spark for us to (re)learn what it takes to weave healthy communities and strengthen the relational webs across our shared home Earth"

Wherever you are gathering and connecting and weaving, hope your week goes well. Best wishes,

Jason
