Spooniehacker interviews Catherine Hale who leads the Chronic Illness Inclusion Project.
Coverage | 06.02.19
Catherine Hale, a fellow of the Centre for Welfare Reform, leads the Chronic Illness Inclusion Project (CIIP), which is part of Citizen Network - a global community to advance citizenship for all. This research project is funded by the National Lottery funded programme of Disability Research on Independent Living and Learning (DRILL) and is focused on the political and social situation of chronically ill people in the UK.
Catherine was interviewed recently for the Spooniehacker blog and tells Aly Fixter why: “‘spoonie’ will never be taken seriously by politicians, why chronically ill people in the UK desperately need a manifesto for social change and how the chronic illness and disability movements can best work together.”
