This November, the internationally acclaimed Fearless Cities summit will be coming to the UK and to South Yorkshire for the first time.
Since 2017, Fearless Cities summits have been hosted by cities and regions all over the world including Warsaw, Belgrade, New York, Brussels, Rosario (Argentina) and Valparaíso (Chile). Our South Yorkshire summit will focus on:
We believe that the future we need will be a future that is based on active citizens working together at a local level and networked together regionally, nationally and globally. Citizen Network, together with Opus Independents are reaching out to community organisers, campaigners, politicians, grassroots movements, civil society organisations and those working in local and regional institutions close to home and further afield.
We’ll explore the many economic, ecological and social challenges that we face, and learn how communities are working together to:
