Women at the Centre
The valuable work of WomenCentre in Halifax and Huddersfield and the challenges of modern commissioning.
The Centre worked with WomenCentre, a powerful and innovative organisation based in Calderdale and Kirklees.
The primary outcomes of the project were:
- The publication of the book Women at the Centre
- Demonstration of the cost-effectiveness of WomenCentre
- Development of a model to explain how WomenCentre works
- Proposals for better central and local policy to support social justice for families
- Proposals for commissioning that better supported local community innovation
