LDA England

The Centre worked with a wide range of organisations, people with learning difficulties and families to establish the Learning Disability Alliance England in advance of the UK General Election in 2015.

Key achievements of LDA England included:

• Publication of the LDA Manifesto setting out a vision for the future
• Publication of the Wrong List - a detailed analysis of the failures of Government policy
• Publication of Quality Checking Government - a mass survey of people's experiences of Government
• The Citizen's Jury - an event to question leading spokespersons from the political parties

LDA England is now being integrated into the development of a larger and more powerful membership structure for individuals, groups and organisations - Learning Disability England - which will be launched in 2016.
