In the first part of this film, the everyday life of a person with disability under a proper personal assistance scheme is described, as if Greece had fully implemented the principles of Independent living. However, the reality in Greece is that one’s family plays the role of personal assistant and if a person with disability can only have a high quality of life if their family are supportive or if they are very wealthy.
In the second part of the film, the same person is institutionalized because there is no family to offer personal assistance.
