This is an interactive Kumu map reveals different dimensions of the Fellowship.
Citizen Network is built on friendship, collaboration and solidarity. Our Fellows are at the heart of this work – people from every corner of the world bringing unique talents, passions and perspectives.
As a global community, it is not always easy to meet, connect and discover one another’s work. To help with this, we have created the Citizen Network Fellows Map – an interactive space where you can explore overlapping interests, working fields and shared networks. The map makes visible the rich diversity of our Fellows and helps everyone find inspiration, new friendships and opportunities for collaboration.
The map is hosted on Kumu.io and is based on information shared by Fellows in the Citizen Fellows Survey. Kumu allows us to show both the diversity and the many connections within our network.
We have embedded the Fellows Map into the page below, however it may be easier to use the Map if you go directly to the Kumu website and use it there. If you select a person, country or topic you will find many connections highlighted. To go directly to the Fellows Map on Kumu click the link in the instructions below.

Overview: On the left side you’ll find a short explanation of the map and its purpose. Click the three grey dots in the centre to hide this text and view the map in full.
Explore by category: At the bottom, three buttons – Country, Person and Tag – allow you to filter what is shown. Tags highlight shared connections such as interests, networks and regions. Click once to show only that category, and click again to return to the full view.
Legend: The map’s legend (on the left) explains the colours and shapes, showing how Fellows are grouped by country, interest or network.
Connections menu: At the top, a drop-down menu lets you filter by specific connections (for example: a topic or field of work). Selecting one will highlight only those Fellows. You can select multiple connections to see where they overlap.
Individual profiles: Click on a Fellow to open their profile on the left side. Here you can read more about their work, how to reach them and view their Citizen Network profile. Close the profile by clicking the three grey dots.
Quick view: Hover over any Fellow to highlight their connections.
