Part of the leadership team at a UK based social care charity called KeyRing. I am passionate that connection makes life meaningful. A world where we do not share ideas, knowledge, skills or even just a smile is not for me.
I am well connected in UK social care as well as in my local area. I support a local charity to run board meetings that involve and are led by the individuals they support and I chair the governing board of a local school. I am an active part of UK based movements such as Social Care Future and the Association of Mental Health Providers. My goal with all of my connections is to envisage a better future and take steps, no matter how small, to get us there.
This quest led me to the Citizen Network where I can share my skills and draw on others. I am currently hosting meetings for the Global Self Directed Support Network. I love connecting on a global level and recognising that we all face similar challenges and more importantly sharing successes and cheering each other on.
Some of the skills you might be able to draw on from me are; simplifying complex messages, chairing meetings, engaging people who draw on support, getting constructive feedback, project management. You are also welcome to connect with me just to share ideas.
