I co-founded a lived experience think tank with Hannah Webster called Care Full. We work to develop new economic models that centre care, enabling us to care for ourselves, one another and the planet. We are both unpaid carers which has led us to recognise that our current economy marginalises those with a relationship to care.
Care Full draws on my personal experience as a carer for different family members over the past 20 years and my professional experience of working with carers in the community, at a regional and national level. I led the Triangle of Care programme at Carers Trust for six years. I was Head of Policy and Participation at the RSA where I worked closely with Hannah Webster on projects related to economic security, wellbeing and participation.
