Joyce is a disabled parent with 3 grown up children, psychology graduate, post grad education (especially special needs policy).
Joyce has campaigned in the past for better provision for disabled students, access for disabled parents to schools and provision for disabled parents as an accompanying parent.
Joyce's love of history and listening to people's stories has morphed her into both local historian and cheerleader for heritage groups in deprived areas. At present she is trying to persuade people that we could use old community buildings to bring in heritage funding and train people in conserving old buildings and make buildings more energy efficient and so create long term jobs, and a community hub that is cheaper to run.
Joyce also runs several blogs including the Timewalk Project.
